This research project explored the notions of culturally-appropriate housing in Canada and what can be done to guide its advancement. The report reviews the conceptual and historical background, summarizes approaches, identifies institutional barriers, and provides guidance on policy tools that could be applied at various levels of government to promote housing that is culturally appropriate for specific demographic groups.
